Hades save file location

Windows save reference

Hades Windows save references include Saved Games\Hades inside your Windows Documents folder. The source groups progress and settings together and lists a separate Xbox / Microsoft Store WGS path; check the store before copying.

Replace 〈…〉 with your actual folder or account. * and ? are file patterns, not a folder to paste into Run. This rule includes settings as well as progress.

Copy the folder path and paste it into Win + R. Windows resolves %…% to your own folders; select the account or save inside. This rule includes settings as well as progress.

Manual backup: Save and exit the game, let current launcher sync finish, then copy the listed files and required folders to a separate location. Keep the original intact.

Can’t find the location?

Check the store edition, Windows user and active account. Documents may be redirected to OneDrive or another disk. If you have never saved, save normally in the game first. A matching path does not prove the files will load in another version.

Missing or overwritten progress?

Keep the files you still have. Check the account, game edition and retained backups before restoring. If no copy of the earlier progress remains, a backup tool cannot recreate it.

Preserve the complete source set because the listed rules may include both progress and settings. Check the edition before moving data between the Documents layout and a Microsoft Store WGS container.

Restore a retained copy, then check the game

  1. Close the game and retain the current files separately, even if they look empty or incorrect. Match the account, store edition and complete save scope shown above.
  2. Use a retained backup from the desired session. Follow the game’s documented procedure or the linked restore guide; keep the backup unchanged while applying a copy.
  3. Load the intended slot and verify a recognizable milestone. Exit and reopen to check that it persists, then resolve any launcher sync prompt using the preserved candidates.
